Breakthroughs and Breaking Barriers

 Breakthroughs and Breaking Barriers

I started 2020 with much faith and a clear vision:  to study abroad. But right after I submitted my resignation, lockdown happened. My life spinned when the world came to a literal standstill. My mind felt like it would explode trying to figure out what may happen.
And my soul was drenched with fear considering what may not happen. But God reminded me of His promise:

“For I know the plans I have for you,”declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you
and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11 NIV).

I held on to this verse until I got the acceptance letter from EAST, with scholarship approval. And God, in His sovereign love, made it possible for me to attend classes through online when the new semester began in July.

The pandemic prevented me from going to Singapore, but God brought Singapore to me. Indeed, amidst the lockdown, I am not locked out of God’s plan for me.

FINALLY, Singapore has opened its borders to international students, and my student visa has been approved.  Please continue praying with me for steadfastness in faith, and for provisions to live in Singapore.

I started 2020 with much faith, but there were moments when my faith wavered because of the global pandemic. I honestly don’t know when the global situation will get better, but my journey in the seminary enables me to be in faith about the things I do not yet see.

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.”
                (Hebrews 11:1 NIV)

Let us keep holding on to the certainty of God’s faithfulness to us.

Believing with all of you too.

Much love,
