MISSIONAL FUN
What a fun-filled February! Our EAST Student Council also organized a bonding time for the faculty and students at Botanic Gardens. Our group won the best video presentation, thanks to our creative faculty who made the video!
Different people opened their homes for us to celebrate Chinese New Year. The best part was eating (and tossing) “yu sheng” — the traditional salad which symbolizes abundance!
For the past Sundays, I’ve been visiting different churches with different friends. Learning from different denominations was a good experience, and I’m still praying to finally settle to a church.
“Christian community is the place where we keep the flame of hope alive among us
and take it seriously so that it can grow and become stronger in us.”
- Henri Nouwen

I had the opportunity to share my testimony to Overseas Filipino Workers in Bethesda Frankel Presbyterian Church. Most of them were mothers, some were single mothers like my Mama. I got to honor them and I told them that I was raised by a strong single mother too.
For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son,
that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but to save the world through him.
(John 3:16-17)
